About Us

Ohio Public Risk Management Association (OPRIMA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the practice of risk management within Ohio’s public sector. Our mission is to empower public entities—such as municipalities, school districts, counties, and special districts—to identify, manage, and reduce risk through education, collaboration, and professional development.

Since our founding, OPRIMA has brought together risk management professionals, public administrators, insurers, and service providers who share a commitment to safeguarding public resources and promoting community resilience. We provide members with access to training programs, networking opportunities, and the latest information on best practices, legal updates, and emerging risk trends.

By fostering communication and cooperation among Ohio’s public entities, OPRIMA helps create safer workplaces, more efficient operations, and stronger, more sustainable communities. Our guiding values—integrity, collaboration, education, and public service—reflect our belief that effective risk management is essential to the long-term success of every public organization.

Together, we work to build a safer and more resilient Ohio.
